StructureBank™ is a robust, relational database designed for the storage, management, and comparative analysis of 3-D protein structures. By simply importing your existing sequence and structural information, a scalable solution for your entire enterprise can be easily established. Structural biologists and others can use this database platform to store amino acid sequences, 3-D coordinates, annotations, and associated protein information. Logical query and report generating capabilities are additional features.
StructureBank™ is easy to customize, scale, deploy, maintain, and use. Because StructureBank™ was developed over a five-year period in close collaboration with modelers, structural biologists, and computational chemists at SBI, the graphical user interface is very intuitive. StructureBank™ supports most industry standards such as PL/SQL, C++, Java, and XML providing an ideal environment for both intranet and internet computing, and development. StructureBank™ relational database suite and computational proteomics tools can be delivered in either IBM's DB2® or Oracle® format, and includes the ProView™ graphical user interface from SBI.
Features Include • Storage of amino acid sequences, 3-D coordinates, keywords, protein annotation, ribbon representations, hydrophobic, electrostatic, and dynamic surface representations • Searches based on sequence, annotation, keyword, disease, family, function, accession number, structure, and much more • Quality control graphs and tools • Protein Data Bank format can be easily imported and exported • Includes ProView™ interactive Java-based viewer • Easy to use, integrate, and scale • Robust and secure • Customizable indexing and categorization of structures • XML-based data transfer and schema • Compatible with Unix and NT platforms • Tool Box can be customized for the specific needs of an academic department, a large research institute, or a corporate enterprise |
