(SBI) today announced that Mr. Joe Fanelli has joined the Executive Management Team as its Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Mr. Fanelli will be responsible for the worldwide sales and marketing of SBI's proprietary 3-D Structural Protein Database Products and Population Variant Database Series. The continued global expansion of SBI's sales and marketing infrastructure will be a top priority. Prior to joining SBI, Mr. Fanelli held the position of Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Base4 Inc., where he was responsible for commercializing the company's knowledge management software. His extensive experience building and directing technical sales and marketing teams are of major importance to SBI in bringing its advanced technology to the scientific community. Mr. Fanelli has held senior management positions in Business Development, Sales and Operations at Quantum Biotechnologies, Beckman Instruments, Cetus, Microgenics and Cangene. "Over the past few years, SBI has become a world leader in computational proteomics and in the modeling of accurate, high-quality 3-D protein structures," said Joe Fanelli.
